Kindy's Veggie Patch
On Tuesday afternoon Kindergarten decided it was time to sell some of their vegetables from their veggie patch. We picked as much lettuce as we could and got a handful of snowpeas.
Kindergarten decided to name their shop "Kindy's Veggie Patch" and bags full of lettuce were sold for $2 each. We spent the afternoon making signs to attract customers. Evie, Harry, Daisy and Ethan were our shop keepers for the day and had to make sure that our customers paid their $2 before they left our shop.
Altogether Kindergarten made $16 towards a new supply of seeds and seedlings. We have decided to grow tomatoes, carrots and strawberries. We will need to do a little research to see if they will grow at this time of year.
A BIG THANK YOU to all the parents and grandparents that supported "Kindy's Veggie Patch" by buying some fresh produce today :)

I can't believe how grown up you all look. Your shop looked amazing. I am so happy to see how many wonderful things you are doing in class with Miss Burgess. Not much longer until I am back at OLA. I miss you all and I can't wait to come back and see more of your fantastic work. Be good for Miss Burgess :)

Your vegetable patch looks lovely. I think for summer tomatoes and strawberries would be delicious.
Do you have problems with snails eating your vegetables?

Thank you, we love taking care of our veggie patch. Our tomato seeds have just started to grow this week. We don't have any strawberries yet but they would be nice to grow. We haven't seen any snails in our garden so far, so we are very lucky.
